Tips for beginner's and moderate guitar player's for better singing along playing.

1) You are practising guitar for atleast 4-5 months regularly.
2) Comfortable shifting chords accurately and bit swiftly according to the tempo of song.
3) Your right hand is comfortable playing the rythm(strumming) acc to song.

if you are fulfilling the above condition's then you can move forward..

for singing initially practise the chords changes in song as much as you can.. And then take up the first line of song and start singing.,

but even after lots of practise the song does not sounds good enough.. So here is the trick.
tune your guitar to 'Eb' rather then standard tuning of 'E'. Means shifting one note down. And then start playing again and now this will sound much better..

By this what we are doing is lowering the scale of song making it easier to sing.

Even those who can play guitar well can use this as the song will sound great

Above all the main thing is have patience and practise and practise and practise..

thanks
