When Deepak Bajracharya sang his first song “Chodi Gayo Priya” at City Hall in 1988, no one could have foreseen the impact he would go on to have on Nepali pop music scene. A prolific guitarist, Bajracharya has serenaded us with more than 250 songs and has seven albums in two decades...
The singer is all set to mesmerize the fans with “Un-rush”, his seventh album, featuring 10 songs, which was released on February 4, Friday at Moksh, Jhamsikhel.
Six years in the making, the album showcases music by Jems Pradhan, Bhupendra Bajracharya, Anil Singh and Deepak himself. All the songs have romantic feel to it and were released coinciding with the pre-Valentine’s Day vibe.
In his own words, “Wanting to make sure things were as good as they could be, made the album take a little bit longer, but I’m really satisfied with the final product.” Bajracharya added that he has not veered away from his trademark tunes, “The presentation might be a little different but the music is quintessentially same; you’ll even find song with Latin falvor.”
Two music videos for the songs “Angalo” and “Timilai” were also premiered at the venue. The album was released by his daughter Cherisha and Bajracharya along with his band Rhythm performed four of his latest tunes. The album has been brought to the market by Rise Music.
